Protégé is a outstanding young stallion that, displays all the characteristics of the modern Holsteiner.His Grandsire Silvano N was the stallion that won the most medals in the Dutch, European, World Championships and Olympic games.

His sire Prestige VDL won his stallion test in Sweden,and competed with Edward Gal up to Prix St George level before his export to New Zealand and has been selected to compete at the2009 Sydney CDI in PSG& Inter 1 with his owner rider Lisa Blackbourn.Kalo's Dam Remi Wedgewood by Winterkoenig (IMP) is a very successful broodmare producing Elite and Premium mares through herself and her progeny.In addition to this she is also full sister to Triathlete who was a 3 star eventer.

Protégé displays correct Jumping technique, and this coupled with his powerful gaits and remarkable canter, enable this exciting young stallion to pursue a career in high-level dressage and showjumping. This is a stallion to watch for the future.

Kalo is performing to all our expectations so far and is showing very good balance,cadence and lift in walk and trot, and always displays an uphill rhythmical balanced canter and a powerful jump!

At 5 yrs Kalo now stands at 16.2hh and is a dark chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail. He has a solid build with short cannons an exceptional rear quarter and a magnificent shoulder & front.Kalo has a charismatic quality and all those who have seen him in person have commented on this.

Being still entire, Kalo has kept his beautiful temperament and playful character and will be available for Public Stud this season..
