We lost Hera due to complications from colic 2 weeks after the birth of her beautiful Filly
Hera is dearly missed by us,and by her filly.She was one in a million !

Hera is a very impressive 17.1hh Oldenburg Mare. She is a gorgeous shade of chestnut with a chocolate colour mane and tail. Kylie and Silvia O’Brien bred Hera at Delta Performance Horses with the hope that she would be exported to Germany to commence her competition career.

Hera’s Sire was competed in Germany by Kylie with successes up to Prix St George level. Hera was booked on a plane to join Kylie in Germany as her competition mount but Hera had a paddock accident that retired her to stud duties here in Australia.Hera joined the breeding program at Lourdes Park in Late 2008

Hera has the gentlest nature and loves to have people around her. In addition to her fantastic temperament she has Powerful and rythmical paces and a elevated trot and canter. We are very excited to have a mare of her calibre and breeding in the broodmare band
